Six years ago Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan in the T-20 match, after that there is no sign of victory for Bangladesh against them. The good memories of the tigers are beating Afghans by 9 wickets in the 2014 T-20 World Cup.

In Dehradun in June last year, Bangladesh were white washed by the Afghans in the 3 match series. Again in the home match on Sunday Bangladesh were defeated by Afghanistan in the tri-nation T-20 series by 25 runs.

After winning the toss Rashid Khan opted to bat first. In the very first ball of the innings Rahmanullah was bowled out by Saif Uddin. In the next over Sakib sent back Hazratullah Zazai after scoring 1 run. In the third over Saif again stroke. Nazeeb was sent out by him just for 11 runs.

In the team’s 40 runs Sakib sent back Jadran for 5 runs. But in the procession of come and go Asghar Afghan and Mohammad Nabi were immoveable.

Asghar was out for 40 but Nabi scored 84 runs which propelled Afghans for a big score. After losing 6 wickets the visitors scored 165 runs.

Saif Uddin bowled his career best bowling. He took 4 wickets after giving away 33 runs in 4 overs. Sakib bagged 2 wickets. But the rest five bowlers could not grab any wicket.

There was a surprise in Bangladesh bating lineup. Mushfiqur opened the innings with Liton Das. Liton was out for not. Mushfiq also failed in the opening position. He scored 5 and was bowled out by Fareed Malik. But Afif’s 16, Shakib’s 15, Sabbir’s 24, Ryad’s 44 or at the end Mustafiz’s 11 off 5 could not bring any hope for Bangladesh. Bangladesh were bundled out for 139 runs in the stipulated 20 overs.

Mujeeb took 4 wickets giving away only 15 runs. Rashid Khan and Gulbadin bagged 2 wickets each and Fareed Malik took 1 wicket.
