Pakistan win series beating Bangladesh by 9 wickets

In the first match of three-match T-twenty series the visiting Bangladesh team were defeated by 5 wickets on Friday. On the second day today the tigers were beaten by the home team by bigger margin. They lost the series after being defeated by 9 wickets.

On the day after winning the toss Bangladesh captain decided to bat first. Mehedi Hasan was included in the team in place of Mohammad Mithun.

Bangladesh’s batting started with a bad impression, Nayeem Sheikh was out in the second over of the innings. After Nayeem who scored zero, Mehedi Hasan went to the pavilion after scoring 9 runs sparing 12 balls.

Tamim Iqbal scored highest 65 runs for Bangladesh. He made his half century after about one and half years. Mahmudullah could not score enough runs to get the team out of danger. Before being out he scored 12 off 12 balls. Then the frustrated scene. In the stipulated 20 overs Bangladesh scored 136 runs losing six wickets.

Pakistan’s Mohammad Hasnain bagged 2 wickets while Shaheen Afridi, Harish Rouf and Shadab Khan took one each.

To chase an ordinary target of 137 Pakistan lost their first wicket in the second over. Shafiul bagged the wicket of opener Ahsan Ali who was out for a duck. And that was the lone fall of wicket.

After that Mohammad Hafiz scored half century sparing 39 balls while captain Babar Azam made his half century with help of 35 balls.

Depending on the partnership the home side reached their target with 20 balls to spare. Hafiz and Babar were unbeaten with 67 (49 balls) and 66 (44 balls) runs respectively.
